Class Descriptions

Classical Jazz

  Level 1 – Foundation

Our beginner Classical Jazz class introduces students to the essentials of jazz technique. Dancers will explore isolations, jazz walks, chassés, step-ball-changes, and pivot turns while focusing on posture, musicality, and coordination. Strength and flexibility are developed in a supportive environment that builds confidence and lays a strong technical foundation for future growth.

Level 2 – Development

In this intermediate level, dancers deepen their technical skills and begin to explore more stylistic aspects of jazz. Leaps, turns, and extended progressions challenge students to refine precision, stamina, and control. Musicality and performance quality are emphasized as dancers learn to connect movement with expression, preparing them to take on choreography inspired by Broadway, concert dance, and pop culture.

Level 3 – Artistry & Performance

The advanced level combines technical mastery with expressive artistry. Students train in complex turns, jumps, and layered choreography that demands endurance and versatility. Emphasis is placed on storytelling, musical interpretation, and stage presence. This level is designed for dancers who are ready to bring together their technique, style, and passion for performance, preparing them for auditions, productions, and pre-professional opportunities.

Contemporary ballet

Contemporary Ballet Program

Our Contemporary Ballet Program combines the structure and discipline of classical ballet with the fluidity and expressiveness of contemporary dance. Students build strong technique through traditional barre and center work while exploring grounded movement, floorwork, off-center balances, and dynamic transitions. Each level fosters artistry, versatility, and the confidence to perform with emotional depth.

Level 1 – Foundations

Experience: Beginner to Early Intermediate

Level 1 introduces the core elements of ballet technique while incorporating contemporary movement qualities. Students work on posture, turnout, balance, and coordination through barre and center exercises, as well as explore basic floorwork, spirals, and weight shifts. Emphasis is placed on musicality, storytelling through movement, and building confidence in creative expression.

Level 2 – Development

 Experience: Intermediate

Level 2 expands technical skills with more complex barre combinations, adagio and allegro sequences, and increased flexibility and strength training. Contemporary elements become more integrated, with focus on sustained and suspended movements, use of breath, and fluid floor-to-standing transitions. Dancers also explore improvisation and collaborative choreography projects to deepen artistic voice.

Level 3 – Performance & Artistry

 Experience: Intermediate to Advanced

Level 3 challenges dancers with advanced ballet technique and demanding contemporary phrases that test stamina, control, and versatility. Students explore intricate partnering work, expansive floorwork sequences, and contrasting movement qualities. Choreography is layered with complex musical phrasing and emotional depth, preparing dancers for pre-professional opportunities or advanced performance settings.

Hip-Hop

Our Hip Hop Program brings the energy and creativity of street dance into the studio, blending the latest commercial styles with strong technical foundations.
